An Interactive Graphic History
Teacher Resources
Kofi’s Fire is ideal for middle and high school classes studying American History, English Language Arts, and electives in law, civics, and African-American studies. In particular, the themes and content presented in the graphic novel and its accompanying suite of resources align to New York State Standards for both Social Studies and English Language Arts – teachers in other states will find alignment to their specific state standards as well.
The following resources were developed by Historic Hudson Valley with extensive support from classroom teachers with years of experience teaching social studies, English Language Arts, and African-American History.
